i don't want to take this debate that way though. I don't want to beat people up for subtle racism, i think that was one of the points of obama's speech, not to name call on each side.

and i think AM's question still stands, how can blacks respond to racism when they experience it that isn't offensive to you, munchkin?

i wholeheartedly agree with torgo, that's an amazingly nuanced speech, pointing out that race and racism is not at all a right and wrong issue, there are hundreds of shades of gray and nuances if we are to move forward. there are huge disconnects on how people see racism in this country.

Sorry AC, any racism is worng. I do not care if it comes from a liberal or a conservative

Now if the left would feel the same way things would improve

yes, but my point is who decides what is and isn't racism? if you think you are experience racism from a black person, and he doesn't, is it racism? if a black person thinks you are being racist toward them, and you don't, is it racism?

His own comments tell a different story.

This is not about race AC, It is about Obama's honesty and judgement. he has failed both

I am not alone. In most of the upcoming states that are having primaries, Obama is tanking

He has told to many different stories, and blaming whites is not helping

How about common sense, and the words the racist is using?

Apparently Obama only has a problem with segregation when it is done by whites. however, if it is for blacks, it is fine. this guy is a racist.

Clink on the link for his website, then click the video, 30 seconds in the black girl gushes with pride over Howard University, because it is a "black college"

video:

http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid1315744911?KeepThis=true&TB_iframe=true&height=500&width=790

obama's site:
http://africanamericans.barackobama.com/page/content/afamhome

if you click on all the people, you will notice that only blacks get this:

There is no better advocate for African Americans than Barack Obama. Barack knows your story, because it is his story.

Why should whites vote for a president who will "advocate" for blacks? That implies advocating against white interests.

Blacks have gotten preferences for forty years, and yet keep blaming us for their own failures. Now we're supposed to elect a black to give them MORE preferences?

Why do you believe white and black interests are mutually exclusive? I mean, I know why, but I'd like to hear you say it.

Thank you for making my point

By changing my post you are showing how the left views race in America

Whitey is to blame for all the "problems" blacks have in America

More and more voters are seeing what Obama really believes and stands for, that is why his poll numbers are tanking

And why some believe Hillary may overtake him in the popular vote

I made no points but my own.

It's one man's opinion, and representative solely of that man. How you extrapolate it is up to you, and says more about you than you apparently know.

Also, why not respond to my earlier question about your belief that white and black interests are mutually exclusive, and cannot be stewarded by the same president?

Hmm?

Oh you did make my point. Like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Wright, and Ms Obama, whites are the evil oppressors

The interests of the Obamas of the world is to give preferences to blacks while laying the guilt trip on whites

The race baiters are not interested in equality. That is why they are for quotas

Lefties like you buy into this system

i for one am going to quit arguing with munchkin. i see this is getting nowhere, but i am glad a LOT of people get it, and are happy to see Obama be so articulately honest and forthright. i have a very warm fuzzy feeling now, its good to see people empowering themselves and not letting o'reilly and lou dobbs divide us. I welcome more speeches like this one.

I see the liberals here are getting tired of the facts?

Honest and forthright? Obama's stories have more holes in them then a slice of swiss cheese

Of course like with Bill Clinton, many on the left are now drinking the Kool Aid and feeling all warm and fuzzy about Obama

The polls tell a different story. Most Americans see Obama for what he is.
The left will dismiss them as racists and say Obama was right about America after all

"America" did not kill anyone, people in it's government did...

"America" did not treat anyone as less than human, humans did...

"America" did not NUKE anyone, it's representatives did in order to save millions more lives.

America is a country, a nation, an ideal... not the personification of Evil that this nutjob Wright wants to portray and Obama MUST be sympathetic to given that he sat there for 20years and listen to it!

Look, it doesn't matter which way you lefties play this, it's gonna be bad for Obama because he's either lying now, or he lied then.

Obama says he disagrees with Wright, but sat there for 20 years listening to his garbage just to appear like a "man of the black peoples" which makes him a FRAUD!

OR

he agrees with Wright (even if it's only partly) which makes him the worst possible candidate for leader of this country!

that's it....those are your choices.
