But if it is about racisim, I believe morals run along the same line, so why is it we don't judge Hillary on what her husband did and how she stood by him and accepted it. She may not have liked it, but she still stayed and supported him through his "ordeal". Some would say this is condoning his actions, and for 8 years we have heard much about family values from Bush. So why isn't the "monica" an issue? Is this all really about how americans don't want a black president, and need to find a reason outside of saying" He's black he can't be president"?
Hillary is good, she has what it takes, i believe. But i have to say i think Obama has more to offer us. |
Yea Obama is offering us alot. Racist mentors, hate filled sermons, multiple lies about what happened, spin doctors defending his lies, and supporters ignoring the facts
Rewind to Bill Clinton back in 1992 |
munch, i wonder what your preacher has said |
This may come as a huge shock to you - my Preacher knows his memebers do not come to Church to listen to rants against America
He does his job and preaches to us about God |

This is a huge shock to me. You go to church?! Are you a Christian?
Brother, I have to tell you, one Christian to another - I'm not sensing Jesus in you.
You are carrying around way too much anger and hatred. If you've read these boards much at all, you will know that I take my faith as seriously as my anti-racist passion. I never asked for debate on political issues, but I would love to talk to you about faith. Is that something we can do? Can you do that without attacking me? |

AM maybe YOU go to Church to get a liberal indoctration speech - I do not
Maybe you have no problem for a Church Pastor to stand up and feed the flames of racisl hate and bigotry - while the crowd cheers and claps - I do not
Maybe you have no problem with a Pastor telling lie after lie about the US to flame the racial hate his masses have toward whites - I do not
And the whooper you just posted where you never asked to debate on political issues - well you better talk to your Pastor about how to erase that one off your record
As far as your anti racist passion, if yo would apply it equally regardless of political affiliation I would admire you for it |

I honestly don't know where I did that. I started a thread called "inspirational" looking for discussion on healing the racial divide, but I never asked for debate on political issues. I think you are confusing me with someone else. I actually don't want to debate political issues. I don't want debate at all - I would just like thoughtful discussion.
But if I am wrong, please show me the post and I'll certainly admit it.
You told me what they don't preach in your church. What do they preach? Turn the other cheek? Love your enemies? Don't return evil for evil but overcome evil with good? Tell me. I'd love to know. |

You can start at the top of page 2 in this thread. I diod not make this a poltical thread - it was done before I got here
Again, maybe YOU go to a Church to get a political speech called a sermon
I would never think I would be told the US invented AIDS to kill blacks, or the US sells drunbgs in black areas to kill blacks, or how the US deserved 9-11, spreading racial hate, and preaching this crap to kids
I guess liberal black churchs are differenct from other churches
Again, I am just a typical white American like Obama called his grandmother |

This is thumping my chest on how conservatives will not debate me? This is me saying I want to debate? Oh come one. Do you have any actual evidence that I actually said anything like that - or do you just want to apologize for saying I lied when I denied your accusation?

You don't really go to church, do you? You aren't really a Christian, are you? You made that up. It's fine if you did. I was just hoping it was something we had in common and could discuss. |

'Mouse,
There is no need to do this. Munchkin is exploring new boundaries. I'm sure that once he or she gets settled in, you two may be able to interact a bit more civilly. (I hope.)
Okay, probably not when it comes to politics, but Ya'll have got to have common interests----like breathing.
Eh?
Oxygen is nice, right?
Until then, will your Mousyness be satisfied feasting on bunny ears and ignoring Munchkin?

i think a lot of the prob is is that alot of area forums aren't 'friendly'...this is by far one of the friendliest...which i find refreshing. we have our opinions, we state them, and for the most part all is heard and expressed and explored....however civility and manners, in my book, go a long way.
i think they need to teach manners in school. not to deviate. i think that is a missing element in 'the youth today'.... |

Oh great one, I did not know I was not allowed to reply to your post. I guess I need a permission slip before I post anything in response to your crap
You are a pip AM, Maybe you like the board where it is a Mutual Admiration Society where libs get together and post pics, jokes, and insults without another POV
You cry how conservatives will not talk to you - I have tried for days on several threads and all I get is liberal drivil form you
Now you show your ability to look into cyberspace and tell if someone goes to Church. Leave it to the intellectually superior liberal to show once again how much smarter they are then the rest of us - and avoid answering the questions asked
Ducking the hard questions is what you do best AM. Now go ahead and play the insulted and abused liberal - that is the second best thing you do |

Given the fact most of the posters here are liberal - yea, you would see it as a "friendly" board
But when a conservative brings reality, truth, and facts to the board libs cry "There goes the neighborhood" |

Since you can't show me where I asked for a debate, I'll accept your surrender on that issue.
I see you aren't going to discuss faith. You said you go to church and that's something we have in common, so I thought we could talk about that. But since you won't even discuss it, I tend to believe it's not true.
As the ladies have said, this is a friendly place where good discussion can happen - as long as people are willing to control themselves and not name-call or resort to ad hominem attacks.
You can't discuss race in a civil way, you won't discuss faith...
So, how 'bout that oxygen? I sure like breathing it - how about you?
Otherwise, I don't think we have anything to talk about. But please, don't let that stop you from trying to bait me. You seem to enjoy that. Let me know if you ever want to be friendly. |

You know, I try to remain optimistic. I started that other thread based on an inspirational thing I read, but it degenerated into the same moronic thing. You guys (Coppy, Chel, Coward, Torgo) are a breath of fresh air. You are all thoughtful, informed, good-natured folks who are able to disagree civilly. Thanks for that.
You are always asking for conservatives to debate you AM, but you wind up runing away and acting like it is a waste pf time
In a way you are right - you debate with emotions others debate with facts
How is discussing race in a civil way AM? Setting aside what Obama said, waht his pastor said, and ignoring how kids are being exposed to racial hate? Buying into the white guilt you seem to live in?
On other threads you said I was wrong about the Dems platform, I posted what they said - and guess what - you are gone with the wind
Seems to be the norm for you
