i mean any sort of bipartisanship is dead, in case you are illiterate.

i think republicanism/democratism is obsolete. it served it's purpose and now needs revamped, much as most of our country needs some revamping as well.

i never made any opinions about what i think about the war in the po forums, if i recall, other than it's been five years and little is being done. you, my friend, are putting words in my mouth, which is what "republicans" do best, since that's how you like to think. what i have talked about is indie parties and bipartisanshipdeadness.

i did read your posting and i knew it was better than what was being shown on tv. that's obvious. i believe i referred to it as propaganda (or else this was on another forum i write on, not sure offhand..this is a topic on alot of forums out there....).

so, get back to work, mr. munchkin. i'm sure there's a crazy lib you can pester there.

So now the Winston Salem Journal propaganda?

So you NEVER expressed any opinions about the war?

speaking of war, my mom and i were talking about how the media has played a role in the last few wars. 'way back when' the media wasn't in-your-face with it and you'd get newsreels in the movies or a photo/story in the paper and a letter or two from abroad....more scarce and made it more 'real'....whereas now, we are bombarded visually with pictures, videos, etc etc that i think the masses are either immune to it or visually maxed-out that it doesn't have the same impact.....and after FIVE years of it, who can blame them....

it's gone on long enough....and no solution has been found. other than the typical bickering of us and them..... *YAWN!!*

Any comment?

Munchkin,

Are you familiar with the house on the corner of Scotland and Norland? The one that is filled with GOPpie signs year round (it seems.)

I just noticed it doesn't have a McCain sign out (yet) and I often wonder who lives there. I understand putting up a sign when you really, really, really want to get that person in office, but there have been a few times where I have wondered if they even knew the platform of some of the candidates they were supporting through signage. Or is the only thing that matters that they have an (R) next to their name.

I ask you, because as involved as you are in your party's politicking, I bet you know them.

So does it matter to you? Or do you operate under the assumption that any Republican will always be better than any Democrat?

Did Mike intentionally draw McCain's head to look like a flacid phallus?

Or is that a warty thumb?

I don't put anything past Luckovich! Very Happy

And what are you doing looking at an AJC cartoonist 'Mouse? I mean, I already knew you were a good person, you don't have to keep proving it!
Very Happy

I always like Luckovich. He nails it most of the time.

All of the sudden I feel like I need to defend the old people.

Hey, you kids - knock it off! You might get a warty-thumb head in 40 years too! And get off my lawn!!

*pulls up socks and wanders back inside, muttering*

Funny timing -- I came across this posted at Daily Kos this afternoon.

Quote:
Thanks to our agents on the inside, we've captured a copy of John McCain's to-do list for Tuesday, March 25, 2008.

Tuesday, March 25, 2008:

6 a.m. -- Wake up. Tell Joe Lieberman it's time to go home. Got to rethink this relationship -- he snores.

6:30 a.m. -- Look outside to gage the weather. Damnnit! Those kids are on my lawn again. Don't they have anything else to do?

7 a.m. -- Get dressed for third time. My aides have some sort of sick obsession with getting all the buttons right and same colored socks.

7:30 a.m. -- DAMMNIT! GET OFF MY LAWN YOU LITTLE BASTARDS.

8 a.m. -- Reject aide's explanation that what I think is kids is actually the shrubs I planted last fall. Can't be.

8:30 a.m. -- Balance campaign checkbook.

9 a.m. -- Dry my tears. Consider whether lunch will be Fancy Feast or Whiskas.

9:30 a.m. -- Work on next stump speech. Consider a warning about "al Qaida in New Jersey."

10 a.m. -- Aide wants me to study up on the difference between Shiites and Sunnis. Easy. Sunnis bad, Shiites good -- or was it the other way around? Let me see... the Sunnis are fighting us in Iraq. The Shiites are... wait... there's got to be a difference. Let's see... the chalice from the palace...

10:30 a.m. -- Look out side. No... don't look. You know they're still out there.

11 a.m. -- insert line in next stump speech about "al Qaida On My Lawn." Second thought, not a good idea. Don't want to have to bomb my own lawn.

12 p.m. -- I wonder if lemonade will get the cat food off my breath?

1 p.m. -- Nap

3:30 p.m. -- Tell Joe Lieberman to stop following me around.

4 p.m. -- Call W. Thanks, but no thanks to the offer to come campaign with me. Bad enough having Lieberman's lips on my *** all day.

5 p.m. -- Splurge for dinner! McDonald's!

6 p.m. -- Send thank you note to the Rev. Hagee for calling down fire and brimstone on the Democrats (except for Joe).

7:30 p.m. -- Bed time. Whew... what a day.

I also read somewhere last night that Limbaugh was encouraging Republicans to cross over in Texas and Ohio to vote for Hillary. Anybody have more information on that?

Oops, just Texas. Crossovers in Ohio would be voter fraud - it's not allowed there.

As usual you are wrong

Turns out - I was right.

Y'know...just sayin'.

Uh, shouldn't we still be talking about how Obama is a racist or something?

By association of course...
