Haha, here I figured it meant "Harbors washing machines." _________________ "The Master would not approve..." |

but this stirred some curiousity:
Conococheague, an American Indian word meaning "a long way, indeed" |

| Sorry, I sorta forgot that there are those on here that aren't from around here originally. It's just a whole lot easier to spell Jig then Conococheague. And chel, I don't how long you have lived here, but there used to be railroad tracks that ran thru town. That is where the "wrong side of the tracks" delineation was. It is now the rails to trails area thru town. |

This is only my 3rd year in Chambersburg; I lived in Shippensburg for a few years before that, and Harrisburg before then... at this rate, by the time I'm 80 I should be in Florida |

| Wow, can't think of any reasons. Was born and raised there, and ran away as fast as I could as sooon as I was old enough. Sure you know 70% of the people working at the restaurants etc. They're all related. Shbg. creeps me out. |

They all come back sometime | Naa... not if I can't get out of Chambersburg...not real thrilled with it either. I moved to Vegas and ended up back here. But, the people I love are here, and I can't convince them all to move to England with me. |

Funny. My two main lovies are here and I can't convince one of them to move to England, either.
Of course, in the past eight months I've found several things I like about the area. I still grump about the local customs and idjits, but C-burg and the surrounding areas are growing on me...like a fungus.
Still getting the overseas bug, though. _________________ I demand euphoria! |

| i chose being near to my family over where i lived. it was more important to me in the end. i'd feel bad missing the 'every day' things of family and family life. hence shippensburg. (even tho i'm a chambersburger by birth)....i like the town. i've seen worse. haha... |

I agree, after living out of state for awhile now I can say that family and friends means alot more to me than location. But I am sure everyone is different, I know that there will be times when I think " Ugh I need a 50 mile buffer from my family" _________________ I am having brain surgery on 09/26/08 please read my blog to help ease my mind.

Wow, I guess I couldn't be more the opposite; everyone in my family up and moved to Florida years ago because they hated PA. I was in college at Ship so I stuck it out, promising I'd be outta here by the time I graduated.
But things don't always work out quite as you plan... |
