Yeah, I sure hope I never need to get a new transmission again... but my car is coming up on the inevitable "timing belt replacement." Ugh, that's like the automotive equivalent of a full, rectal examination. "While we're in there...."

By the way, if you don't listen to public radio (or even know what NPR is) then I highly recommend you look into it. Unfortunately we live in something of an NPR black hole, but I can usually pickup Harrisburg's WITF (89.5) or West Virginia PR (88.1). Hagerstown broadcast WETA clearly for years, but recently switched to all-classical (much to my annoyance).

Actually WETA went to an all talk format, THEN went to all classical. While I miss Car Talk, and some of the more intellectual radio games shows, I really missed the music. Sorry it's not your cup of soup Coppy, but Mozart beats Conway Twitty or Brittany any day, IMHO. I didn't know about 88.1, Thanks!

I really like the classical aspect of public radio, but I feel like I can get classical music elsewhere. It's culturing I know, but NPR news is a valuable resource for me since it's perhaps the most unbiased source I know of. Plus it's actually interesting and not destroying everyone's brains like 24 hour news networks Rolling Eyes

When I feel like music, I listen to it what i want... and for the life of me, I don't even know who Conway Twitty is. But my problem isn't that they went all music; my problem is that they dropped Morning Edition and All Things Considered, which for years I considered an extremely important part of my daily life. I can podcast Car Talk, This American Life and Fresh Air when Terry has someone interesting on... but the news is sort of an "at the moment" sort of thing for me.

So, screw you WETA.

88.1 comes in relatively clear, but they spend a lot of time on West Virginia news which I find nauseating. I listen to the Harrisburg station when it's clear enough. Both play classical music between ME and ATC.

If I were looking for a mechanic, I would have to say that I have not met a better person/ mechanic then Troy at Troy's Automotive. He is located on South Main st. Chambersburg. Right beside the Veterans of Vietnam War Club. He will not put any part's on your car/truck without letting you know first, and his rates are the Best that I've found.

Now for the heating! I have been using Bob Zullinger Heating for year's now, and I would swear by him. Very Good guy and the Best Prices.

For excellent car repair service (been going there for years and friends from out of town even come to these people) and that Stouffers on top of Radio Hill across from 30 West Restaraunt.

As for plumbers (and heating work), Eric Hornbaker on Loudon Street is very very good. Have used him several times.
