.45chel, thanks for the welcome, appreciate it. This is a fun place. I understand that the anonymity of a forum gives some folk permission to be less polite than if face to face.

Coppy, wow, those sandwiches you made sound great! About 20 years ago I found a sandwich/lunch place in D.C. that put together unusual combinations which sparked my creative juices. Thanks for the inspiration, food shopping will be extra fun this weekend.

I, too, am anxiously awaiting the results of the pizza tournament. I stopped in at Pizza Factory for a cheesesteak today because of yesterday's posts. I have not had their pizza for maybe a year! Scanning
over their menu I remembered my fave was broccoli, tomato and garlic.

Now that I've discovered this forum, I may never again be at a loss as to what to eat! Cool

If just one person say this, I know that I have done some good. Very Happy

You should scan the other forums; a lot of info on establishments between Carlisle and Hagerstown (or even Harrisburg and Frederick if you're a road trip diner like me).

We'd love to hear about some of your favorite places, particularly in the "restaurant reviews" thread.

I'll post my barbecue sauce recipe in the recipe's thread...

No one has said that either Me!!!!!!. We're all certainly entitled to our opinions and I like to hear yours as much as anyone else's. You just got a little defensive when we gave HH a hard time.

I'm curious, where else do you go?

I'm pretty sure it's a "sister" restaurant to The Treat...I mean..their signs are even the same colors.

I've never been but I can assume that if you're down for a decent Texas cheesburger you could go there...at least you can at The Treat.

actually, kenny's "sister" restaurant is "dodie's" (once known as Hoover's)...both were started/run for years by Kenny Hoover.

same ice cream, good dinners....i was reading about the small portions, but really, does one have to eat gluttonously? lol...their kennyburger is awesome and def. try their soft serve.

hoovers--try the chicken dinner. very good and good portions, for those who want more than average.

(but yes, it's similar to the treat, food wise)

Crap I forgot about Hoover's.... What is the place out by Ryan's that has the chicken on the building. My dad loved their Honey Chicken ( or is that Hoover's?)

My mother called me a few years ago and raved about Ryan's, so I drove from HBG to Chambersburg and thought I could of saved myself some time and went to the Old Country Buffet or the Golden Corral. Nothing special to me and way overpriced to stand in line and wait an hour for a table.

Laughing Laughing Laughing I went one more time after that and it was on Mother's day. I don't need to tell you about the wait or the spectacle of eating that I saw. Freaking Ethiopia could of lived off of the wasted food alone for ayear. Man Buffet's give me the germy wormy feeling

I was going to try Prozac, but I saw my pharmacist sneezing when filling my script so I would not take it.
