| The Town and Country Diner was located where Pat and Carla's III is now it was short lived but fantastic food and it was always very busy. I can't imagine why they closed. |

Armando's served slightly better pizza than the new P&CIII. Both are, on the whole, pretty bad though.
Interestingly enough, the original Pat & Carla's makes a pretty good pie. But I think the best I've tried yet (via tournament play) just might be Vinnie's in Marion. |

Fay's Country Kitchen is still going strong, and although many believe they have the best breakfast in the area, most Carlisle residents agree that the best breakfast can be found at Kimberley's. |

| yes they have owned the property for at least 7 or eioght years. They have leased the space occasionally and the finally after Town and Country was such a hit (hmmm?), decided to open their own shop there. Did you ever try T&C? From your posts about the lack of originality in our area, it would be a shame if you had missed them. |

| My favorite was a 4 leaf salad with a cheese that I can't remember(maybe goat cheese?). I also loved the cajun chicken quesadillas. |

Wow, Red Barn and Town & Country both sound great; unfortunately, I have not been in the area long enough to have tried them.
It's a shame that the good places are gone and we're left with the "lack of originality" I have such a big problem with. |

Hoo's feathers have been ruffled? Sorry I wasn't trying to insult you with the lack of originality comment. I for the most part agree with your summation of our local eateries. I just don't eat out much so it doesn't really bother me as much I guess. Perhaps a product of my environment. |
