It's a shame that the good places are gone and we're left with the "lack of originality" I have such a big problem with. |
Coppy scroll down here and you will see that the Red Barn in Camp Hill became the My Place Pizza

| Oh, no... I didn't mean to come across like that fonny. I was actually sincere in my comment... I would have gladly tried either of those places, and I'm legitimately disappointed that those, along with several others, were long gone before I had the opportunity to try them. It seems Chambersburg once had restaurants that were ahead of their time... and as a result, went out of business. I think they'd do better now, but unfortunately we're stuck with establishments that were never good to begin with, but held some sort of nostalgic cheapness that people embrace far more openly than originality and quality. |

Wow... worst website ever. My java applet nearly vomited all over my computer screen. But it still seems pretty good as a restaurant at least.
Oh well, Red Barn is no more so no need to wax nostalgic too much over it.
This is just too funny though:

Edit: Of course the image doesn't show because of awful quality of the website (yes, I'm that curmudgeonly) but I guess you can view the link here:

Thanks for the website Paul. Thats take me back....waaaaay back. If those of you who aren't from this area would like to know, the Cburg Red Barn was right across the street from the Burger King on LWE. It was there before the Burger King and as far as I'm concerned the Red Barn was the Burger King.
One more Paul, that might take you back, is Martin's Pastry Shop. Nowhere else could you go to get a burger and fries and walk out with a dozen homemade donuts or pastries. |
