Does anyone else here think that Ted Kennedy's endorsement might help Hillary Clinton more than Barack Obama? To me, it will tag Obama firmly as the candidate of the far left while Clinton will be seen as more of a moderate. I don't think it helps Obama all that much, certainly with leaning Republicans, and even with a lot of Democrats. _________________ The sun, the moon and the stars would have disappeared long ago... had they happened to be within the reach of predatory human hands. ~Havelock Ellis, The Dance of Life, 1923 |

I don't know if most people really care what Ted Kennedy thinks or says one way or the other, except for the people who would never consider to vote democrat anyway.
If anything, it shows that maybe Kennedy and Hillary aren't as similar as many conservatives have been painting them over the years. In any case, I think Kennedy's liberalism is exaggerated and that both Obama and Hillary are relatively moderate politically speaking if you look squarely at the issues as a whole.
Kennedy is also hugely respected by a lot of Northeastern democrats and this could actually persuade them to vote for Obama over Hillary.
I don't think it will have too much impact though. Oprah endorsing Obama is a bigger boost than any senator, Kennedy or otherwise. That's just society. |

Doesn't anyone else have anything to say? Come on now, don't be shy. _________________ The sun, the moon and the stars would have disappeared long ago... had they happened to be within the reach of predatory human hands. ~Havelock Ellis, The Dance of Life, 1923 |

| I think one point you were trying to make that I overlooked is that maybe a lot of conservatives who have been attacking Hillary for being too liberal (or whatever) may turn their sights on Obama, now that he's been endorsed by the neo-conservative's sworn enemy, TK. |

I'm sorry, Bobo.
I burned out a bit and, in order to conserve energy for after primaries, I have taken a more passive observer role.
I'm also pretty sure that anyone I support is destined to crash and burn as a miserable failure for the rest of their natural days...So, I am happy to announce my undying support for the entire Bush family for generations to come, Dick Cheney and Mike Huckabee. _________________ I demand euphoria! |

Remember the discussion about Oprah campaigning for Obama? Now, Oprah's mentor - Maya Angelou - has recorded a commercial for the Clinton campaign. So has Magic Johnson. _________________ The sun, the moon and the stars would have disappeared long ago... had they happened to be within the reach of predatory human hands. ~Havelock Ellis, The Dance of Life, 1923 |
