There was a discussion in the topix forum about "the lost boys" and, Chel, I have to agree with you in the theory that average young white males are forgotten in our society today. I am lucky. I have that role model your son needs. After reading previous discussions on this board, I feel your son is so much like what I went through with my child. He is 21 now, working full time while attending college in the evenings, working on getting his associate in mechanical engineering. And, you can find him 3 times a week at the Red Bridge Roller Rink. Oh, and on the weekends, he races motocross. I'll include a clip of him for your son to see. I warn you the music is NOT the edited version. www.myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=33395010
I hope I did that right. |

Thank You!
Not just for the clip, which was posted correctly, BTW, (I could only watch part of it because I'm experiencing a LOT of lag on my laptop right now)
But also for 'getting' what I was trying to say about our youth.
It isn't the easiest subject to bring up without sounding 'bad' in one way or another and I was starting to feel like I was speaking a foreign language! In another section someone even said something along the lines of, I was only nice to non-whites! (I was like, where did that come from?!)
From what I saw of the video clip 'the boy' will definitely be impressed and from what you've said (typed) you have a lot to proud of (not that you needed me to tell you!)
We have so many great people on this forum, you included, we really are not too bad off, are we?
I was planning to post something about some distasteful kid behavior I encountered recently, but you've made me so tickled I want to hold on to the feeling awhile. I'll post it later.
Thank you for your sunshine! _________________ I demand euphoria! |
