Is in search of some Bluegrass bands to play.

I'm not sure the cost, but The Davisson Brothers Band out of WV would be cool...I've seen them a couple of times and they're very good...they're a modern bluegrass band playing mostly originals with some really good covers as well (traditional bluegrass, John Denver, The Dead, Allman Brothers, etc...)...they've also been known to cover some 80's and other popular songs in a bluegrass style...the crowd always seems to go for it...anyhow, they have a small following in central PA and would definitely draw a crowd...I know they always bring some West Virginians with 'em...

I've been checking out a lot of bluegrass bands in Carlisle at the North Hanover Street Grill...perhaps through a phone call to the bar, you could get some names...I really don't remember them all...I know one was from the State College area...

FYI-I got to see Yonder Mountain the other night in Lancaster...great time...hope you find what you're looking for...

I have seen them several times as well. I talked to a few of them this past St. Patricks day. They played with Larry Keel.

They are a little more country than what I am looking for.

We have had Greensky Bluegrass, The Boro Boogie Pickers, The Fox Hunt and Berritt Smylin so far. Have a prettty good line up coming up but always on the lookout !

Where is the Unique Bar and Grill located? My spouse and I love Bluegrass (both traditional and contemporary) music but it is difficult to find any in this area that is more that just "a thrown together back room jam session". (Not that that is always a bad thing but sometimes a real show would be appreciated.)

Heading out of Waynesboro on 16 turn right onto Monetery Lane, its on the left before the railroad tracks.

The show this saturday is all Waynesboro Natives. Its a Halloween Costume Party as well.

Doesn't some Waynesboro hardware store allow "bands to play on weekend there?

In the past Beck and Benedict's hardware store hosted a "jam" night on Fridays in the back room of their hardware store when it was on Main St. in Waynesboro. They have since moved from that location to another location (I don't know where) and now offer "professional" gigs. Sometimes you will see information for them listed in calendar section of PO online.

The hardware store is now located in what was the old "Outlet Barn", now also Golds Gym. They have a concert area as well as the hardware store. Jams are still on every Friday night and 1 Saturday a month there is a show.

I have sign posted up there for the unique as well. The owners are very nice people.
